Leanspace is a European space company which has built the first cloud platform for space missions. Our cloud services enable aerospace engineers to easily build powerful cloud-native software and to migrate space systems to the cloud. Our customers are some of the hottest NewSpace companies in the world, and also large established space organizations, ranging from satellite operators for earth observation, in-orbit services and IoT, to launcher companies and software integrators.

Do you have a software development background but find yourself drawn to the art of storytelling?

Your purpose is to blend deep technical knowledge with storytelling for an audience of developers and aerospace engineers, in order to write high-impact content that will boost market awareness, technology evangelism and customer onboarding.

Embedded in the marketing team, you will work in collaboration with many other stakeholders: product managers, product owners, software engineers and space experts. You will produce content usable in all media channels (Web content, Blog, social media, events etc.) and directly in the product, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all channels.

Your mission at Leanspace :

  • Write product marketing content (product descriptions, case studies, whitepapers, etc.) to educate the market on our unique approach
  • Write technical documentation for our users (user guides, tutorials, training material), to smooth customer onboarding and guide them.
  • Support the marketing team to create compelling marketing campaigns for upcoming releases.
  • Support the product team to communicate product features and benefits to the sales team and create sales enablement material to support them.
  • Learn and understand the many use cases we work with. Our customers build different product applications, use different languages to use our APIs, work in different domains (earth observation, launchers, space exploration, etc…)
  • Proactively and independently retrieve information from product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write all this content

You have

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field
  • Experience in a similar role or in a software development role
  •  good understanding of software technologies, cloud, APIs and the developer ecosystem.
  • Experience in writing software engineering content in blogs or similar tech channels (we will want to read your posts!)
  • Ability to grasp and translate complex technical knowledge into benefit-driven stories.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Based in, or willing to relocate to the Strasbourg area (including nearby German or Swiss cities)

Extra awesome

  • Knowledge of space technologies
  • Some experience with our tech stack: Java development using Spring, AWS cloud services, React, javascript/typescript
  • Experience in content writing for technically complex B2B software
