What We are Looking For
We are recruiting a Space Software Solutions Engineer, with experience designing and implementing software solutions with multiple software stacks, with no fear about learning new programming languages. We expect you to have a strong command of at least one of these technologies, and a desire to learn more: Java, Python, Javascript, Typescript.
You will play a key role in our solutions department, including customer-facing activities. You will work with them to design and build solutions that include data processing pipelines, protocol handling, UI development, REST APIs, cloud services and deployment technologies. You will develop the applications in collaboration with a team of local and remote developers. You must feel comfortable learning new things every day and choosing as a team the best solution for each case.
You will work closely with our clients in engineering their ground segment solution based on the Leanspace software platform. The focus is on software engineering of operational satellite control systems. Experience and interest in the Space sector is very desirable.
Your profile
Your experience matters:
- +4 years of experience in software development, preferably using Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Strong experience with at least one programming language, including Java, JavaScript, Python, and familiarity with others (Go, Rust, C#…). Proven ability to learn multiple programming languages for different projects.
- Experience in one or more Space sector domains: systems engineering, space telecommunications and protocols (e.g., CCSDS, CSP), flight dynamics, spacecraft operations, ground segment engineering
- Experience working in a software development team, using source control tools, participating in design and code reviews, writing software tests
- Experience with REST-based API development and design: Swagger, OpenAPI
- Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
Bonus points for:
- Experience in systems integration and distributed architectures.
- Experience with Java 17, Spring, Maven, and Docker
- Experience with Javascript, Typescript, and React
- Experience with Terraform, Go.
- Experience with Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, etc
- Experience with messaging protocols and technologies (MQTT, AMQP, websockets, UDP, …).
- DevOps experience, in particular CI/CD experience
- Client-facing experience
