When procuring software for long-term programs, ground segment leaders have to balance between 2 incompatible drivers: on one side their desire to derisk by using existing products, and on the other the need to fit to highly specific mission requirements. COTS providers lock you up by being the only ones able to work on their product. It creates a critical dependency on the long run, leading to increasing costs, delays, and complacency.
Leanspace takes a different approach. Our platform is open and has been designed to facilitate for third-parties to build solutions on it. Our strategic integration partners have been trained on delivering custom solutions on Leanspace (such as Capgemini, Qwaltec, Solenix, and CGI). Multi-mission, multi-platform, multi-orbit
Today’s space programs are compounding in complexity with multiple satellite platforms, many assets, various orbits, and several payloads to deliver different missions for different customers. This translates into impossible requirements for the ground segment and operations software. Traditionally, the only possible approach was through costly duplication of systems and fragmented operations, which is not a sustainable, long-term solution anymore.
