Delivery Manager – Space Operations Software

Leanspace is a leading provider of software solutions for space operations. We build and operate the Leanspace platform, an ecosystem of APIs and data-handling services to run mission-critical systems, and offer, on top of it, a catalogue of standard products. Our software supports many space engineering activities, ranging from satellite testing to in-orbit operations.

Our customers include large enterprises, space agencies, armed forces, and innovative NewSpace startups running ambitious space programs across the globe.

To support our growth and scale our delivery capabilities, we are opening a position for a Delivery Manager, monitoring and coordinating all engineering delivery activities across customer projects, internal product development, and R&D programs.

Mission

The Delivery Manager is responsible for monitoring that all delivery commitments, customer, internal, and grant-funded, are executed on time, on scope, and with optimal resource allocation. The final decisions on allocation of engineering resources, and thus on what delivery commitments are fulfilled, will be made by the executives, based on the insights provided by the Delivery Manager.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering execution, resource planning, and company prioritization by the executives, requiring a strong ability to manage complexity, balance competing priorities, and provide visibility across the organization.

You will work closely with the CTO and executive team to ensure that delivery aligns with Leanspace’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with engineering teams to track progress and resolve delivery risks
  • Maintain and provide a clear visibility on all active delivery streams to the executives, in support of decisions on priorities
  • The final decision on engineering resource allocation and priority lies with the executive committee

Portfolio & Resource Management

  • Manage a portfolio of projects across:
    • Customer deliveries
    • Internal product development
    • R&D and grant-funded programs
  • Own capacity planning and resource allocation for engineering teams
  • Maintain and continuously update the master delivery schedule

Planning & Prioritization

  • Work closely with the CTO, the product managers, and the executive team to:
    • Prioritize initiatives and assign teams
    • Balance short-term opportunistic priorities and long-term commitments
    • Implement the decisions made by the executive committee
  • Ensure alignment between company priorities and engineering capacity

Process & Tooling Optimization

  • Establish and improve delivery processes, tools, and reporting frameworks
  • Create transparency and visibility for both engineering teams and leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery efficiency and predictability

Grant & External Program Management

  • Manage delivery activities related to national and European R&D programs
  • Coordinate with partners and ensure compliance, reporting, and timelines
  • Work closely with finance and administrative teams to perform reporting (French required)

Candidate Profile (Skills & Experience)

Other Requirements

  • Fluent in English and French
  • Based in the European Union
  • Willing to relocate to Strasbourg, France
