DEVOPS LEAD - Leanspace

Make Your Mark in the Space Industry!

At Leanspace, a pioneering European space company, we are not just building a software platform; we are crafting the future of space missions. With our groundbreaking cloud services, aerospace engineers are revolutionising the way we integrate, test and operate satellites. Our client base ranges from cutting-edge NewSpace ventures to established players, running space programs to monitor Earth, provide internet or IoT connectivity from space, bring satellites to orbit, remove space debris… and many other exciting use cases.

Our team of 35+ members representing 17 nationalities is the driving force behind our success. Having raised €10m so far from top-tier investors and being backed by the French government and European institutions, we are on an ambitious journey to reshape the global space market.

We are expanding our business rapidly, and we need your expertise to further innovate our platform. Our team is based in Strasbourg, France, a beautiful and vibrant city that offers a rich culture, easy access to nature and a fast-growing startup scene. Strasbourg is a highly international city, host of the European institutions, and located at the heart of Europe, near Germany and Switzerland.

Be Part of something Bigger

We are searching for a passionate DevOps Lead to join our DevOps team. As the DevOps Lead you will be the Product Owner (PO) of our AWS platform. You will be responsible for planning and implementing strategies for a highly available, secure, cost-efficient and performant infrastructure, suitable for operating satellites. This includes ensuring a high level of security, achieving accreditation, and supporting ITAR compliant systems

You will be part of the business prioritization meetings to understand the short and long term business needs. You will develop strategies and plans for implementation in close coordination with the CTO. Of specific focus will be the move from a pure AWS platform to a platform that can be deployed also on-premises (and in selected private clouds).

You will lead the DevOps squad through the agile ceremonies that frame our 3-week sprints. You will support the squad technically and be hands-on in implementing solutions in a daily fashion, while always ensuring the appropriate level of quality, and keeping the long term vision. We need a leader, not a manager.

You will help continuously improve the cloud platform, being responsible for the technical outlook following trends that might improve or impact our solution. You will push for improvements in our internal processes and mentor your fellow DevOps engineers in how to reach even higher levels of quality. You will also be part of the DevOps chapter, exchanging lessons learned and developing ideas for cross squad improvements.

You will actively contribute to our startup mindset, where we value candid feedback, continuous learning, and efficient habits, and help your colleagues become their very best selves. They will do the same for you, to help you master your trade.
